SOIL STRUCTURE INTERACTION ANALYSIS & REHABILITATION STUDY
This Soil Structure Interaction (SSI) study covers the numerical modelling of the multi-storey tower for NCB National Commercial Bank in Al Khobar, KSA to ensure the design adequacy of the piling foundation system under the proposed loads. A 3D Finite Element Analysis was done considering different load cases for the piled raft, followed by 3D ETABS analysis for vertical and lateral load cases. The project also involved a rehabilitation study for the critical sections by a combination of micro piles and increasing the foundation thickness and reinforcement.
